The then Guide Publications was founded by Shri Sukhdeo Prasad Baranwal in 1964 with a mission to offer publications that would disseminate knowledge and awareness. Keeping up with this fundamental in mind, Shri Baranwal launched Military Yearbook (now - SP's Military Yearbook) in 1965 which in the very beginning received encouraging praise from the dignitary none other than the then Prime Minister of our country Mr Lal Bahadur Shastri. That very point of support followed the positive inclinations and the warmth of the Indian armed forces towards the Yearbook and that has been continuing and expanding in terms of reach and contents - both, since then. As we are aware, today SP's Military Yearbook is not only the flagship product of SP Guide Publications which has been through a modest journey of 45 years; but offers an encyclopedic reference on not only the Indian scenario but covering the whole of Asia. This journey of SP Guide Publications - since 1964 - has also seen the introduction of quarterlies, bimonthlies and monthlies. SP's Aviation, SP's Land Forces, SP's Naval Forces and SP's Airbuz represent these initiatives. SP Guide Publications - clearly - not only intends to continue to spirit to offer the publications with greatest possible values and valuable contents but do look forward to further widening the horizons in coming times. Establishing a star that twinkles in the galaxy with utter level of firmness and brightness …. Thereby meeting the vision of the Founder and proceeding with the thought process of current head of the company.
